I am somewhere on the road between Martha's Vineyard and California. Through the magic of technology, I was able to get this month's SOS Monthly all ready to go before I left, and sent out to you at its regularly scheduled time.

In this issue, I share What I Want From My Spring Vacation, and hope you'll help me out. There's also an update on Audiences with Queens, and some new interviews you really should check out.

I've been looking forward to this trip for a long time. Find out if I'm passing your way...

P.S. Stop by my blog, for the latest news in between issues. Recent entries include:  I Don't Want To Be A Stupid Girl, Every Queen Needs an Anthem, and Fight "The One Right Way"

What I Want From My Spring Vacation

Here on Martha's Vineyard, whenever we go off-island we say we're "Going to America." So I guess I'm going to America in a really big way. From April 9 - 21, we'll be passing through sixteen states as we drive from our home on the Island all the way to California.

I've been thinking a lot about what I want to get out of this trip, besides merely moving my car 3,000 miles. As someone who's spent all of her 46 years on one coast or another, I'd really like to get a sense for what it's like to live in between. What folks like about where they live, what they'd like to change, where else they might like to live if they could. The concept of "home" has been bouncing around in my brain for a while now:  what it means, how you know you're there, etc. And I'd love to get a better sense of what home means to other people. So I'll be conducting a little survey during my time "in America."

We can even test my survey questions now:

1. What's the coolest thing about living here?

2. What would you change about living here?

3. If you had to live somewhere else, where would you live?

I wanted a short, sweet, anybody-can-answer kind of survey--so I could ask practically anyone I meet along the way. If you'd like to participate, just email me your answers. I will publish the results after I get back.

Audiences with Queens

We've got eight Audiences up now, and a podcast that you can subscribe to on iTunes! And here are just some of the great topics from the newest Audiences:

          • Why effective credit and collections practices are key to your business...regardless of its size
          • How to discover your inner Goddess Queen
          • Why single moms should travel...and journal
          • How one entrepreneur turned pole dancing and sensual movement into the next fitness craze

You can listen to a short preview of each "Audience" immediately, or download the full version for later listening. You can even sign up for a lifetime membership and receive every "Audience" as soon as it's available.

Wanted:  More Queens to share their expertise! In particular, I'm looking for Queens of Color, Stay-at-Home Queens, Queens of Large Corporations, and Queens Doing Good. Email Queen B to recommend yourself or someone else.
